SIR LUCIAN'S SHOWCASE: A MUSICAL (VEGAN) FEAST

Sir Lucian Grainge’s pre-Grammy UMG artist showcase once again offered an array of performances, tantalizing glimpses of upcoming films and, of course, vittles—in this case a sustainable vegan brunch feast. The latter was an additional tip of the hat to inaugural UMG x REVERB Amplifier Award winner Billie Eilish, who was hailed for advocacy on behalf of sustainability and climate awareness.

Performers included Shania Twain, Doechii, Feid, GloRilla, Kim Petras and Sam Smith, Lauren Spencer Smith, Muni Long, Samara Joy and Stephen Sanchez.

The Jon Batiste story American Symphony and Paul McCartney-themed Man on the Run were previewed, as was the Donna Summer doc Love to Love You, with Summer's daughter Brooklyn Sudano and her dad, Bruce Sudano, there to cue it up.

Hollywood’s Milk Studios was jammed with biz heavyweights; the photos that follow barely scratch the surface. We're still craving a plate of bacon, but at least we feel guilty about it.

Republic boss Monte Lipman, UMe topper Bruce Resnikoff, Brooklyn Sudano, Sir Grainge, Bruce Sudano, UMG EVP Michele Anthony, UMPG ruler Jody Gerson and UMG head of film and TV development David Blackman wonder if our website could be recycled.

Interscope overlord John Janick, Yo Gotti, Sir LG, GloRilla and Interscope's Nicole Wyskoarko and Steve Berman continue to argue that HITS is not sustainable.

Samara Joy, who would soon be crowned Best New Artist at the Grammys, poses with Global Classics and Jazz and Verve Label Group chief Dickon Stainer, Grainge and Verve President Jamie Krents. The three execs then quickly formed an impromptu jazz trio and threw down on "Ornithology."

Island-Republic artist Lauren Spencer Smith turned in a killer performance, which was also 100% vegan. Seen yearning for an island that's oceans away from us are (l-r) Monte Lipman, Island co-chief Imran Majid, LG, LSS, Island co-head Justin Eshak and GM Mike Alexander and Republic's Avery Lipman.

iHeart prez and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame supremo John Sykes and musician-impresario Jon Batiste discuss building a Hall of Shame to put us in.

REVERB co-founder and co-director Adam Gardner, Maggie Baird (Billie Eilish's mom), Eilish and REVERB's Lara Seaver and Tanner Watt learn that very little can be done about our noxious emissions.

Artist Niall Horan, Capitol's Jeremy Vuernick, Fletcher, Capitol ruler Michelle Jubelirer, Queen Naija, Doechii, Sir Grainge, Capitol prexy Arjun Pulijal, Natalie Jane and Orlando Wharton form a towering tableau.

Warner Discovery chief David Zaslav, after posing with Sir Grainge and Sir Elton John, began plotting a campaign for his own knighthood.

Avery Lipman, Larry Rudolph, Sir Grainge, Republic's Wendy Goldstein, Kim Petras and Monte Lipman ponder a "vegan remix" of Chumbawamba.

Def Jam ruler Tunji Balogun, artist Muni Long, LG and Def Jam's LaTrice Burnette hope this is the last time they'll run into us this week.

Island co-bosses Majid and Eshak are also very chuffed about the success of artist Sabrina Carpenter, whose song "Nonsense," despite what you might think, was not written about us. Say, are you going to finish that potato croquette with cashew butter?
