EMPIRE ELEVATES MOODY JONES

Moody Jones has been upped to GM of Dance at EMPIRE.

The former Noisemaker began working at the label in early 2018 and most recently served as SVP of Digital & Creative. In his new role, he’ll focus on building EMPIRE’s brand in the dance and electronic space by inking and developing talent and marketing the genre to new audiences.

Jones has worked in both creative and business capacities on dance projects with the likes of The Martinez Brothers, Ayra Starr, Fireboy DML and more. His new position arrives on the heels of EMPIRE’s acquisition of Claude VonStroke’s Dirtybird Records in October 2022, a deal in which Jones played a key role.

“As someone who’s been DJing and producing for 10+ years in the dance scene, it’s an incredible full-circle moment to become a GM in a genre that has meant so much to me at a company that has allowed me to thrive as a creative and executive,” said Jones.

“Moody has been an integral part of EMPIRE’s growth over the years. As we expand into dance, I’m confident in his ability to identify and develop artists impacting the culture,” added EMPIRE CEO Ghazi.
