Morgan Wallen has five songs in the Apple Music Top 10 from an album that won’t be released for another month, while Shania Twain is the Queen of iTunes albums this Grammy weekend Flipover Friday.
The five Wallen songs have also made One Thing at a Time, which Big Loud/Mercury/Republic will put out 3/3, the #1 album at Apple Music.
The activity is being driven by the arrival of three new songs: “Last Night” (#1 at Apple Music, #2 at iTunes); “I Wrote the Book” (#3 iTunes, #7 Apple Music) and “Everything I Love” (#7 iTunes, #8 Apple Music). Nine of the album’s 36 songs have been released.
As if that weren't enough for Republic Records to celebrate, the label has the #1 album at iTunes, Shania Twain’s first long-player since 2017, Queen of Me (the clean version is #8).
Two indie releases follow at iTunes, The Winery Dogs’ III (Three Dog Music) at #2 and Pastor Mike Jr.’s Impossible (Worldwide) at #3. The 85th edition of NOW That’s What I Call Music! (UMG/Sony) is #5.
RAYE’s My 21st Century Blues (Human Re Sources) debuts at #6, followed by Thrice’s The Artist in the Ambulance—Revisited (Miscellaneous/Many Hats) at #10.
At #9 at Apple Music and #11 at iTunes is Dr. Dre’s 30-year-old The Chronic (Interscope), which makes its debut in the digital space today.
