Lucy Dann, left, meets her new bosses at EMI, Jo Charrington, center, and Rebecca Allen.
UMG U.K.’s EMI Records has a new managing director: Lucy Dann. She moves over from Polydor, where she spent the last 10 years.
Dann will report to EMI Co-Presidents Rebecca Allen and Jo Charrington. Her appointment follows the launch of EMI North, which will be led by Clive Cawley, previously MD of EMI.
At Polydor, where she was most recently co-marketing director, Dann oversaw campaigns for Billie Eilish, Maroon 5, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, The 1975 and The Who, among others.
In unison, Allen and Charrington called Dann “an exceptional music executive who we have both admired and wanted to work with for a very long time. Respected across the wider business by managers, artists and colleagues, Lucy will bring fresh determination, leadership and ambition to our label and its artists, helping to further drive EMI’s successes around the world.”
Prior to joining Polydor, Dann worked at SYCO Music with One Direction and Little Mix.
