TOP 50: SZA STRETCHES SOS STREAK

TDE/RCA phenom SZA earns yet another week at #1 on the HITS Top 50, with SOS adding 121k to its total. The album’s late-year momentum bubbles over into 2023 as it crosses 1.2m in activity, overwhelmingly powered by streams. Capitalizing on SOS’s hot streak, the label is servicing two tracks simultaneously to Pop radio: DSP chart-topper “Kill Bill” and acoustic pop ballad “Nobody Gets Me.”

Republic’s Taylor Swift holds strong at #2 with Midnights. Lead single “Anti-Hero” appears to be the superstar’s biggest pop hit of the last several years.

House Lipman has three in the Top 4 with Tay, Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains (Boominati) at #3 and Drake & 21 Savage’s Her Loss (OVO) at #4. Big Loud/ Mercury’s Morgan Wallen maintains #6 with his 2021 set Dangerous: The Double Album.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again earns the week’s top bow with his Motown debut, I Rest My Case (Never Broke Again), at #9, while BTS surges to #12 with the vinyl edition of its 2017 EP Love Yourself: Her (Bighit/Geffen), the group’s first-ever drop on wax.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have to transition from our holiday overeating to our pre-Super Bowl overeating. See the full HITS Top 50 chart here.
