A RIHANNA KICKOFF

A month out from Super Bowl LVII, the first promo video for Rihanna’s halftime show has been posted. It makes an interesting point.

Rather than note the last time anyone's seen RiRi perform, the voiceover in the Apple Music ad emphasizes the length of time since her last album, Anti, was released—2,190 days ago, in case you were wondering (1/28 will mark its seven-year anniversary). A snippet of Rihanna's “Needed Me” closes out the clip.

Wonderers have to be wondering if this is a subtle message that new music will arrive around 2/12, the date of this year’s NFL championship game. Stay tuned.
