INDIAN SONG WINS GOLDEN GLOBE

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association opted for revolution over celebrity last night in handing its Best Original Song trophy to M.M. Keeravani and Chandrabose for “Naatu Naatu.”

Written for the film RRR—which stands for "Rise, Roar, Revolt"—the song is heard in a scene filmed in 2021 in front of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky's official residence. "Naatu Naatu" ("Dance Dance") beat entries written by Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and Rihanna. It's also on the Oscars shortlist.

The Banshees of Inisherin led the Globes tally with three, including a win for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy. Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans was named Best Movie, Drama.

HBO’s The White Lotus was named best limited or anthology series, House of the Dragon won best TV drama and Abbott Elementary received the prize for best TV comedy.
