SHAZAM HAS SOME PREDICTIONS

Shazam has published its Predictions 2023 playlist, a 50-track musical cornucopia of artists expected to enjoy a breakthrough year.

Based on Shazam’s predictive data and algorithms—and the opinions of Apple Music’s global editorial team—five artists in particular are drawing attention due to their worldwide potential: Ice Spice (10K/Capitol), Rosa Linn (Columbia), charlieonnafriday (Island), Young Miko (The Wave Music Group) and Benson Boone (Warner/Night Street).

A quartet of other acts are getting extra shine thanks to their regional popularity: Nigerian artist Carterefe, French singer Adé, Spanish rapper Munic HB, J-pop singer natori and Latin artist KEITYN.

Shazam has played a pivotal role in aiding each performer; as Carterefe told Apple Music, "Having the sound was one step, but Shazam made it easier to connect me as an artist to new listeners who may not have known me prior to hearing the sound somewhere and got to Shazam it."

Thankfully, Shazam can't predict the ways in which we'll suck this year. We've been told, however, that they're working on it. The Predictions 2023 playlist appears below. No phone required.
