RECORDING ACADEMY TO HONOR PETER PATERNO

The Recording Academy Entertainment Law Initiative will honor attorney Peter T. Paterno, partner at King, Holmes, Paterno & Soriano, with the 2023 Entertainment Law Initiative Service Award as it celebrates the 25th anniversary of its annual Grammy Week event. The soirée takes place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in L.A. on 2/3.

Paterno, whose clients include Dr. Dre, the Tupac Shakur estate, Metallica, Van Morrison, blink-182, Tori Amos and Rage Against the Machine, has provided legal services to recording artists, songwriters, producers, indie labels, music publishers, merchandise companies and personal managers for decades.

As Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. noted, "The creative community is grateful for Peter’s advocacy on behalf of music makers, and I look forward to celebrating ELI’s mission to inspire dialogue among industry professionals and to cultivate an inclusive future generation of entertainment-law practitioners.”

Individual tickets and a limited number of discounted student tickets to the ELI Grammy Week event are on sale here. We, on the other hand, have been permanently barred.
