RING CYCLE

During a lavish Spotify-hosted wingding at Mexico City’s Ragga Club, chart-dominating, box-office-obliterating Rimas superstar Bad Bunny displays the three custom, championship-style rings (fashioned by Jason of Beverly Hills) bestowed upon him by the DSP to mark his third straight year as the top-streamed artist. Global Head of Music Jeremy Erlich congratulated Bunny on the “three-peat” before brandishing some jewelry of his own, namely a bespoke silver mustache comb. Seen just before downloading a priceless diamond brooch are (l-r) Erlich, Bunny, Spotify VP, Markets & Subscriber Growth Gustav Gyllenhammar and Managing Director of Latin America Mia Nygren.

Spotify also presented the streaming giant with five plaques—one for each track that has exceeded 1b streams (“Yonaguni,” “Callaita,” “LA CANCIÓN,” “Te Boté–Remix” and “No Me Conoce–Remix”). Bunny, who also performed during the event, currently has 62m monthly listeners on the platform.
