The buzz is getting louder on Interscope’s Renee Rapp, a multimedia breakout most recently seen on the cover of Spotify’s Pop Rising playlist and whose “Too Well” recently hit the Top 15 on the Spot’s viral chart. Rapp, who’s repped by Adam Mersel at Immersive Management, has racked up some 40m streams this year and was just announced as part of MTV’s PUSH Global campaign. Her seven-song EP, Everything to Everyone, dropped in November; check it out below.
Rapp’s 12/6 appearance at L.A.’s storied Troubadour was her first live show—it sold out in under two minutes (incidentally, she just inked to WME). Her national tour, now underway, also sold out quickly.
Not that she’s a stranger to the stage: Rapp assayed the role of Regina in the Tony-nominated Mean Girls musical on Broadway; it’s now been announced that she’ll play the role in the Tina Fey/Lorne Michaels-presented film for Paramount+. She can currently be seen on season two of HBO’s The Sex Lives of College Girls, created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble. Several splashy chat-show appearances, meanwhile, have helped tee up what’s starting to look like a hot music career. We sense there’ll be a lot more to Rapp about soon.
