Rhea Ghosh has been tapped as chief marketing officer of copyright-protection service Cosynd.
Cosynd works with creators and rightsholders in 120+ countries. Its partner network includes CD Baby, A2IM, SoundCloud, the Mechanical Licensing Collective, DiscMakers and BeatStars, to name but a few. Company CEO Jessica Sobhraj hailed Ghosh as “a true gem” as well as “a natural connector and innovator and a real advocate for creators with an impressive track record of meaningful contributions to our industry.”
A veteran of the sector, Ghosh was previously global head of marketing at Downtown Music Publishing. She also oversaw marketing and partnerships for the NY Is Music coalition, which—in partnership with the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment—launched the New York Music Month festival and Sound Thinking NYC, which helped support young women interested in careers in music production and related fields.
Ghosh is a resident of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and can thus tell you exactly where to find the best artisanal venison snacks and locally sourced collar stays.
