TIKTOK'S TOP PERFORMERS OF 2022

Lizzo, Rimas' Bad Bunny, Columbia's Nicky Youre and 10K Projects' Ice Spice are among the acts topping TikTok's 2022 year-end charts.

TikTok Global Head of Music Operations Paul Hourican commented on the platform's year: “This year, we’ve seen music from every genre and every market take off globally on TikTok. Swedish rapper Yung Lean has our most popular song of the year, closely followed by the talented Nicky Youre & dazy. Kim Loaiza and Bad Bunny brought Latin music to the world and no one could have predicted the global rap phenomenon that was ‘Jiggle Jiggle’ by Duke & Jones and Louis Theroux. Our community embraces and engages with music like no other, putting their own spin on sounds and breathing new life into old hits. These dedicated music fans, the artists and music creators and the sheer breadth and diversity of music is what we love about TikTok. I can't wait to see what’s unearthed in 2023.”

The Top 10 Emerging Artists (U.S.) chart reveals that the success of some of the year's biggest breakouts, including Warner Nashville's Bailey Zimmerman, RCA's Steve Lacy, Def Jam's Muni Long, CMG/Interscope's GloRilla and Warner's Omar Apollo, correlated directly with their showing on TikTok.

Youre & dazy's "Sunroof," which went viral and mounted a chart-topping run at Pop this year, was one of TikTok's most popular songs in the U.S. Also in the U.S. Top 10 are Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" and Armani White's "BILLIE EILISH." (Def Jam).

Lizzo tops the platform's list of recording artists with the most views. Bad Bunny, Interscope's Selena Gomez, Republic's Yung Gravy, Kemosabe/RCA's Doja Cat and Epic's Meghan Trainor also reside in the U.S. Top 10.

Bunny leads TikTok's accounting of artists with the most new followers in the U.S. in 2022, coinciding with his record-setting tour and consumption-leading album. Doja Cat, Darkroom/Interscope's Billie Eilish, Columbia's Dove Cameron and Republic's Taylor Swift also attracted hordes of new followers on the platform this year.
