AEG'S POWERHOUSE K-POP MOVE

AEG Presents has formalized its partnership with K-pop touring and marketing company Powerhouse, which encompasses touring, production, marketing and media.

The two entities have been working together for nearly 13 years on various projects, including two BTS North American tours and MONSTA X’s massive 2018 Connect World Tour. Over the past five months, Powerhouse and AEG Presents have produced and promoted tours for BLACKPINK, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN & ATEEZ.

“The K-pop market has proven its width and depth and is more mature than ever. I hope our launch of this formal partnership with AEG Presents can help K-pop reach new horizons,” said Powerhouse CEO and President C.S. Hah, who founded Powerhouse in 2008. It now has headquarters in Seoul and Los Angeles.

AEG Presents and Powerhouse inaugurated their relationship in 2010 with the SMTOWN concert at Staples Center, regarded as the first blast of K-pop in the U.S.—it sold out 12.5k tickets in a matter of minutes.

“Powerhouse and AEG Presents have a great history together, and our collaboration has only become more extensive as the barriers among global music markets continue to evaporate,” said Adam Wilkes, president and CEO, AEG Asia Pacific. “This feels like a logical progression.”
