A DIRTY STORY FOR VIRGINS

Why are these men smiling? We’re thinking it’s because Dirty Hit Records—home of The 1975, Wolf Alice, Pale Waves, Rina Sawayama and Beabadoobee—has extended its worldwide distro deal with Ingrooves, which is now under the capacious wing of Virgin Music Group. This happy tableau celebrating that outcome finds VMG Co-CEOs JT Myers (left) and Nat Pastor (right) flanking Dirty Hit founder/CEO Jamie Oborne. The fruitful partnership has produced #1 albums in the U.K. and Australia as well as a Top 10 in the U.S. and three Top 5 U.K. debuts. Later, flushed with indie-rock fervor, the three told their driver to take the Bentley over to the skate park.
