NETFLIX'S WEDNESDAY CONJURES GAGA'S "BLOODY MARY"

A dance scene from Netflix's Wednesday, which shattered viewing records its debut week, has triggered a TikTok trend and surge in streams for Lady Gaga's 2011 song "Bloody Mary." The track continues to hit new peaks on Spotify, climbing the global Top 40.

Though the character of Wednesday Addams, portrayed by rising star Jenna Ortega, actually danced to The Cramps' "Goo Goo Muck" in the scene, fans on TikTok took note of the choreography and set the sequence to a sped-up remix of the deep cut from Gaga's landmark Born This Way.

"Bloody Mary" is currently #1 on Shazam worldwide—and #1 in 22 territories—as it continues to soar at every platform, and visuals from the Wednesday routine now serve as the track's Spotify Canvas. Gaga herself has embraced the trend; see below.
