Rising regional Mexican singer-songwriter Ivan Cornejo has announced his first U.S. tour hot off the release of the deluxe edition of Dañado (Damaged), which has reached the Top 3 of Apple Music's album chart. The set is distinguished by three new songs.
Born and raised in Riverside, Calif., Cornejo has established himself as one of musica Mexicana's bright new stars and a trailblazer of the next-gen corridos style known as "sad sierreños." He is also a leading Latin streamer, evidenced by the Top 25 Latin streaming track "Está Dañada" ("It's Damaged").
His first U.S. headlining trek, which includes stops in El Paso, Austin and Dallas, Texas, Phoenix, San Diego and Los Angeles, is already sold out.
Cornejo is inked to Andres Garcia's Houston-based Manzana Records. The up-and-comer recently added Imagine It Media to his team. Cornejo's work is released via The Orchard.
