Troy Carter and Suzy Ryoo's Venice Music has named Dani Oliva VP of business and legal affairs.
Said Ryoo, “We are beyond proud to welcome Dani to Venice. With his legal expertise as well as the distance traveled in his personal and professional journey, he is an incredible addition to our team and community."
“Dani’s passion for music, community and creatives is deeply aligned with our vision at Venice. Suzy and I are very excited for him to help lead the path forward alongside our executive team,” said Carter.
In his 20-year music career, Oliva has made it his goal to serve underrepresented communities. He co-founded Indigenous and LGBTQ-owned Canadian record label Alt Eden and participated in the diversity task force of the American Bar Association Forum on the Entertainment and Sports Industries. He is also the co-founder of music-management company Muk-Posh.
Moreover, Oliva established the Out of Mind music festival, a platform for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC artists and vendors, with successful events in Los Angeles and New York. The next such happening is scheduled for 2/25 at The Echo in L.A.
