Sony Music Publishing has promoted Michèle Hamelink to managing director of Benelux, where she'll report to President, International Guy Henderson from the Benelux offices.
Hamelink has been with Sony Music Pub for more than a decade, most recently as the company's senior A&R, Europe. Prior to that, she served as a creative manager and European A&R scout, working with artists such as Jonas “Jonasu” Kröper, 070 Shake, Sam Feldt and Feng Suave.
"Michèle is a special talent and brings her unique creative skills to the role of Managing Director," Henderson said. "Her promotion and rapid rise in our company is a testament to her hard work and ambition to lead from the front, taking our writers and staff with her. Thank goodness nobody from HITS will be smart enough to figure out what Benelux is.”
In a related story, a HITS staffer claims her grandparents were born in the capital of Benelux, Brussterdam City.
