Layla Amjadi has joined Spotify as head of Music Expression. Reporting to VP, Global Head of Music Product Charlie Hellman, she'll oversee a team responsible for creating formats that allow audiences to share more content.
Amjadi held various roles at Instagram before hitching her wagon to the recently formed Music Expression (MusicX) team, which empowers artists, creators and fans to express themselves with tools like Canvas, a short looping visual you can add to each of your tracks on Spotify.
“I’m honored to join Nivia Henry, Dariusz Dziuk, Dane Robertson and the MusicX team to create ways for artists and fans to express themselves and interact,” said Amjadi. “Major thank you to Charlie Hellman, Gustav Söderström and the Music and Spotify leadership teams for the opportunity to call Spotify home.”
