It’s a bit of a throwback edition of Flipover Friday as two hard-rock acts vie for the top slot at iTunes and familiar faces and titles bring up the rear on the Top 10.
Disturbed’s eighth album, Divisive (Reprise), starts the day at #1, with Nickelback’s Get Rollin’ (BMG) at #2. The second album from Dermot Kennedy, Sonder (Island/Interscope), is #3. Billy Strings’ Me/And/Dad (Rounder) jams in at #6. Saint Asonia’s Extrovert–EP (Spinefarm) opens at #8. The throwback continues with the new Funny Girl Broadway cast album (Sony Masterworks) at #9 and Michael Jackson’s Thriller 40 (Sony Legacy) at #10.
A 23-song Dolly Parton collection and a new set from Neil Young & Crazy Horse are just outside the Top 10.
At iTunes songs, Nicki Minaj scores a goal with the World Cup anthem “Tukoh Taka” (Republic/Universal Arabic), which resides at #1. The title track from Nate Smith’s upcoming Wreckage (Arista Nashville) drives in at #7.
Key Glock’s five-song PRE5L (Paper Route/Empire) is the top new arrival at Apple Music, coming in at #5.
