APPLE MUSIC CROWNS BAD BUNNY

Apple Music has crowned Bad Bunny Artist of the Year. His prize was a chance to program the La Formula playlist.

Un Verano Sin Ti (Rimas) was Apple Music’s most-streamed album of 2022 and, after setting the record for most first-day streams worldwide, became the biggest Latin album of all time. Among Bunny's other Apple Music records: “Moscow Mule” is the biggest Latin song ever; B.Bun has the most simultaneous entries (22) by a Latin artist in the Global Daily Top 100; and the Pride of Puerto Rico has had the #1 song on the Daily Top 100 in more countries (34) than any other Latin artist.

“Watching Bad Bunny ascend from an Apple Music Up Next artist in 2018 to our Artist of the Year this year has been nothing short of extraordinary,” said VP of Apple Music and Beats Oliver Schusser.

Bad Bunny responded by saying, “The Latin music movement has grown so much. I would never take full credit or say, ‘It's because of me.’ No, it’s every one of us. A whole generation. Our energy and presence is always felt.”
