The Taylor Swift first-week story continues as the megastar places all 20 tracks from Midnights (3am Edition) on our Song Revenue Chart. Songs from Taylor’s monster LP occupy the #1-13 positions, while the seven remaining tracks all finish in the Top 25. We estimate the revenue from those sales and streams to be north of $2.8m.
Consequently, Republic holds a whopping 69% of total Top 50 revenue, with parent distro UMG adding another 14% for a massive 83% share. Last week’s leader, Sam Smith & Kim Petras’ “Unholy” (Capitol), falls only 13% but drops to #14 under the weight of Swift’s debuts. The week’s only other new entry is from Generation Now/Atlantic’s Lil Uzi Vert, whose “Just Wanna Rock” opens at #25 behind an estimated $65k from sales and streams.
