Roc Nation, Def Jam and Hollywood Records have unveiled the track list for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever: Music From and Inspired By. The set is slated to drop 11/4.
Produced by Ryan Coogler, Ludwig Göransson, Archie Davis and Dave Jordan, the 19-track outing features contributions from a small army of artists, including E-40, Tems, Fireboy DML, OG DAYV, Future, CKay, PinkPantheress and, of course, Rihanna, whose "Lift Me Up," the lead single that also serves as a tribute to Chadwick Boseman, has become the most-added song in U.S. radio history.
Göransson spent more than 2,500 hours recording the Wakanda Forever score and soundtrack at six studios on three continents in five countries. The film's audience will hear 250+ musicians, two orchestras, two choirs and 40 vocalists.
Coogler, meanwhile, has his fingerprints all over the project—from co-writing the lyrics to “Lift Me Up” to suggesting that Tems cover Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” to choosing Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” for the trailer.
Göransson said he and Coogler set out with the intention of moving the audience from "grief to celebration."
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters nationwide on 11/11. Find the soundtrack's full track list below, and consider making your Wakanda travel arrangements now as things really fill up over the holidays.
