MILK & HONEY MUSIC TO LAUNCH SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Milk & Honey Music is launching a scholarship initiative for female songwriter-producers from Australia and New Zealand, to begin in February 2023.

Created by Milk & Honey founder and President Lucas Keller, Milk & Honey Australasia Managing Director Milly Petriella and M&H Head of International Peter Coquillard, the scholarship will allow recipients to work stateside for two months with Milk & Honey producers, writers and clients who'll serve as mentors.

Australian scholarship recipient Chelsea Warner, for instance, will be partnered with producer-songwriter Oak Felder (Demi Lovato, Lizzo, Kehlani, Alicia Keys, John Legend) and Jenna Andrews (BTS, Noah Cyrus, David Guetta).

"We're extremely excited to offer this unique scholarship to empower amazing female producers from Australia and New Zealand and plan to offer it on a perennial basis," said Keller. "We look forward to helping to elevate these young creators on the global stage as they come to work with our great creative teams at the Milk & Honey offices in Los Angeles, Nashville and London. As we celebrate our 8th year in business, we continue to be committed to developing talent.”

Milk & Honey has scored several major hits in those eight years, including Dua Lipa’s “Levitating,” BTS’ “Butter,” Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber’s “Despacito" and James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go."

Rumors that Vegemite has been enlisted as a sponsor of the new initiative couldn't be confirmed at press time.
