25 UP FOR EDUCATOR GRAMMY

Twenty-five music teachers from 25 cities in 18 states are semifinalists for the Recording Academy and Grammy Museum’s Music Educator Award.

More than 1,200 nominations were submitted for the award. One recipient will receive a $10k honorarium and matching grant for their school's music program. The nine additional finalists will receive a $1,000 honorarium and matching grants. The remaining 15 semifinalists will receive a $500 honorarium with matching school grants.

Among the nominees are Agoura Hills middle school teacher Matthew McKagan, Tammy Yi of Chapman University, Antoine Dolberry of The Bronx, Brooklyn elementary school teacher Alice Tsui and Nashville’s Marisa Frank. Nominations for the 2024 Music Educator Award are now open.
