Monte Lipman and his brother/fellow Republic co-founder Avery will be honored imminently with the City of Hope’s Spirit of Life Award, and the siblings have approached the fundraising campaign with the same energy and drive that marks their careers as label execs. Monte also happens to be buzzing over the giant debut from Taylor Swift. So pretty much everything is looking splendid in his world—and here we come to mess things up.
