UMG STATEMENT
ON YE
As Ye's various partners and sponsors cut ties with him in the wake of his horrifically intolerant remarks, we note this official statement from UMG:
Def Jam’s relationship with Ye as a recording artist, its partnership with the G.O.O.D. Music label venture and Ye’s merchandise agreement with Bravado all ended in 2021.
There is no place for antisemitism in our society. We are deeply committed to combating antisemitism and every other form of prejudice.
As we've reported separately, Adidas is the latest of the embattled artist-producer's partners to bail, following Balenciaga, CAA and JP Morgan Chase.
