"PUSSY" POLITICS

Streamcut/RCA's Latto opened for Lizzo in Atlanta on 10/22 as part of The Special Tour. As she was performing the single "PUSSY"—which was written in response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade in June—the breakout artist and hot Grammy prospect brought out Democratic candidate for governor of Georgia Stacey Abrams, who held a sign that read: "My Body My Choice." Abrams later encouraged the audience to get out and vote in the midterm elections.

Latto has been vocal about women's rights. Not only did she donate a portion of the proceeds from "Pussy" to Planned Parenthood, she did a PSA for the organization in which she urged fans to speak out in favor of abortion rights. Check it out here while we dig up our pink pussy hats.
