Future was the musical guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday night, bringing "Love You Better," from the chart-topping album I NEVER LIKED YOU (Epic/Freebandz), to the late-night stage for the first time. Delivered at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the performance bore the creative direction of labelmate and fellow rap titan Travis Scott. Check it out below.
Future has sold more than 95m album-equivalent units over the course of nine albums and 68 separate songs. I NEVER LIKED YOU, anchored by "WAIT FOR U" featuring Drake (indisputably one of the year's biggest songs) and "PUFFIN ON ZOOTIEZ," was certified gold less than two months after its April release. This year also saw GQ put Future on its cover next to the provocative designation "BEST RAPPER ALIVE." Grammy buzz on the artist, the tracks and the album, you will be unsurprised to hear, is very loud indeed.
I NEVER LIKED YOU notably crushed the record for greatest number of first-day streams for an album released this year and served as Future's eighth #1 set. Its title, meanwhile, is a phrase we're very accustomed to hearing.
