DUPRI GOES SEXTUPLE PLATINUM WITH MARIAH

Jermaine Dupri has earned a six-time platinum certification from the RIAA for co-writing and co-producing the Mariah Carey hit "We Belong Together" from her 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi. The #1 song, released via Island Def Jam, was nominated for four Grammy Awards and won two in the Best R&B Song and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance categories in 2006.

The album itself has been certified seven-times platinum since its release. Dupri, founder of So So Def Recordings (Sony), is behind a number of Carey's tracks, including "Always Be My Baby" and "Honey."

JD is currently working on more music and was recently in featured in Usher: 25 Years My Way. The mini-doc premiered exclusively on Usher's YouTube channel on 9/16 and focuses on the singer's album My Way, produced by Babyface and Dupri. Revisit "We Belong Together" below, a sentiment nobody has ever expressed about any grouping that included us.
