VAUGHN SIGNALS NEW START AT COLUMBIA

Former Capitol Music Group Chairman and CEO Jeff Vaughn is launching Los Angeles-based Signal Records, a joint venture with Columbia Records.

“I’ve admired Jeff’s work from afar for a while,” said Columbia Chairman & CEO Ron Perry. “He has incredible musical instincts, an infectious work ethic and great passion. I’m looking forward to working together on this new chapter.”

Vaughn rose to chairman and CEO of Capitol Music Group after joining Capitol Records as president. He was previously VP of A&R at Artist Partner Group, then a joint venture with Atlantic Records.

He continues to tolerate being mentioned in HITS, though we're unpleasant enough to put anyone off their breakfast.
