The RIAA handed out a whopping 403 single awards and 42 album awards in August, bestowing platinum plaques upon Demi Lovato for “Heart Attack,” Big Sean for “Bounce Back” and Post Malone for Hollywood’s Bleeding.
Beyoncé’s accountants were working overtime last month as she added nearly 70 gold and platinum awards to her collection, while Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and “Billie Jean” each crossed the 10m threshold. SZA, Tim McGraw, Morgan Wallen and Romeo Santos are also among the artists adding platinum awards to their holdings.
