A load of rock albums rule the Top 10 at iTunes this Flipover Friday as the Labor Day holiday beckons. The one artist making a mark in both sales and streams, however, is Sony Latin’s king of bachata.
Romeo Santos’ Formula, Vol. 3 (Sony Latin), which features collabs with ROSALÍA and Justin Timberlake, is #2 at iTunes and #11 at Apple Music in the early morning hours.
Leading the way at #1 at iTunes is Megadeth’s 16th studio album—and first in nearly seven years—The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! (UMe). Beyond Jon Pardi’s Mr. Saturday Night (Capitol Nashville) at #4 and Casting Crowns’ Healer (Provident/Sony) at #6, it’s all guys with guitars. Mongolian rock group The Hu roll in at #5 with Rumble of Thunder (Better Noise), and King’s X’s Three Sides of One (InsideOut) opens at #7. YUNGBLUD’s self-titled third album on Locomotion/Geffen chugs in at #8, Blind Guardian’s The God Machine (Nuclear Blast) sees #9 and Miss May I's Curse of Existence (Sharptone) swears in at #10.
At iTunes songs, the K-pop track “Sexy Nukim” by Balming Tiger, Omega Sapien, wnjn & Mudd the student—but most importantly, featuring RM of BTS—is #2. And just days after making a live appearance at Citi Field to herald the entrance of Mets closer Edwin Diaz, Blasterjaxx & Timmy Trumpet’s 2017 anthem “Narco” (Maximize/Spinnin’ Records) climbs into the Top 10 at #3.
