NOISEMAKERS:
RAISING THE BAR

In our latest roundup, we present eight more stars of tomorrow from various parts of the biz whose dedication and effort make their superiors look good.

This week's entrants will also find their faces in our latest mag. And if they don't care about that (because why should they?), we're told the pages make for semi-decent rolling trays.

Megan Joyce
SVP, Business & Legal Affairs, Big Machine Label Group

Joyce once met Frank Sinatra backstage and later sipped champagne with the Notorious B.I.G. Since then she’s sat next to Jay-Z in a meeting and closed back-to-back record deals with Blake Shelton and Kenny Chesney. Having recently joined Big Machine, this Jersey native is excited to be working with Thomas Rhett, Tim McGraw and Carly Pearce and to celebrate the company’s first #1 at Urban, Hitkidd & GloRilla’s “FNF (Let’s Go),” via its new partnership with Blac Noize! Records. In another life, Joyce would’ve been an actress. We would’ve been unemployed.

Danny Jacobson
Manager, Hallwood Media

For Jacobson, who uses TikTok on the daily, nothing beats seeing client Lawsy shoot into the Top 3 of the platform’s U.S. Top Tracks chart with his single “Hotel,” which peaked at #6 on the U.S. Viral chart and #13 Global. The 21-year-old manager is presently focused on Hallwood producers like Uncle Cameron (Rod Wave, Lil Durk, NBA YoungBoy), Ike Beatz (Lil Uzi Vert) and TheLabCook (RichTheKid, Lil Wayne). Self-proclaimed as one of the “Top 5 best producer manager/amateur boxers” in the music biz, Jacobson is understandably dubious about having us in his corner.

Sheila Mohebpour
Digital Marketing Manager, Range Media Partners

Mohebpour once flew to New York for coffee with Bazzi, then to Louisville to see Jack Harlow perform five shows in his hometown and then to L.A. to hand-deliver packages for Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas” campaign. These days it’s all hands on deck for Bazzi’s Infinite Dream and fall tour. Mohebpour’s also expanding the online presence of Harlow, Cordae and MAX as well as working with developing acts Corey Harper, TALK and Saleka. She played violin for 12 years—Mohebpour’s parents enrolled her in classical Persian training at the age of 10.

Milo Mitchum
Senior Partner/Manager, Three Six Zero

Mitchum was proud to take BURNS’ “Talamanca” to the A-List on BBC Radio 1. Other highs include MK’s selling out Belsonic at Belfast’s Ormeau Park in 2021 and BloodPop’s executive production of Lady Gaga’s Chromatica. He’s now pumped about new client SG5, a J-pop group collaborating with Sailor Moon, as well as BloodPop’s producing recent tracks for Gaga and Beyoncé, among others, plus more from clients like Majid Jordan. When Mitchum was 10, surfing legend Jay Moriarity taught him how to ride the waves. Our surfing skills are limited to the Internet.

Tiffany Nicole Ramirez
Associate Director of Publicity & Promotions, Warner Music Latina

With more than eight years of experience in PR, Ramirez has worked with Latin urban stars she idolized as a teen, including Daddy Yankee, Zion & Lennox and De La Ghetto. She now handles media relations for WML acts Anitta, Myke Towers and Justin Quiles, among others. Ramirez’s summer has been focused on Argentine phenom Paulo Londra—who joined Anitta for a #1-2 punch atop Spotify global earlier this year—as well as Regional Mexican breakout Dannylux and singer/songwriter Elena Rose. This flack also has a degree in criminal justice. We plead the fifth.

Mario Morales
Label Director, mau5trap & hau5trap

Morales was thrilled by the launch of deadmau5 and Kaskade’s KX5. He led the release campaign for “Escape” f/Hayla—which crossed over to Top 40 after spending five weeks atop the Dance chart—and heard thousands of fans singing it at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas. With more music to come ahead of the duo’s December L.A. Coliseum set, he’s also rolling out mau5trap’s 11th annual We Are Friends compilation and sister label/brand hau5trap. Outside of music, Morales digs sneakers and horror movies. We’re all about naps and happy hours.

Shana Sherman
Director, A&R, Def Jam

2022 has been quite a year for Sherman, who broke rising rapper Armani White in less than eight weeks with his viral hit “BILLIE EILISH.” and saw D Sturdy & Philly Goats’ “Shade Dhat” reach 1b+ impressions. She’s also working with the Def Jam team and Stack or Starve Records, which she cofounded, to develop and break acts from Philadelphia like Yxng Ka, SaadiFour, Yung Livvy and Lil Muk (all of whom are under 25). Sherman is a firm believer that she can do anything she puts her mind to, yet she still couldn’t avoid us.

JP Morray
CEO, Interlude Studios

Having spent years developing clients like Christian French, MILES and ASTN—the latter went viral on TikTok with his R&B rendition of Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever”—Morray was proud to see all three ink to major labels. The exec’s had his hands full developing Interlude singer/songwriter CIL over the past 18 months and building up the company’s producer division, leading with client Grant Sayler, whose recent credits include Nicky Youre, Christian Gates and David Hugo. Morray’s a diehard Arsenal fan and part-time model. We’re full-time losers.
