Columbia owned the Top 10 global debuts at Spotify this weekend, led by ROSALÍA's new cut, "Despechá," followed by a Beyoncé blackout. Other big movers include Taylor Swift's "August" (Republic) and Manuel Turizo's "La Bachata" (Sony Latin).
ROSALÍA, "Despechá" (Columbia): The Spanish star dropped her first new track since the March release of the critically acclaimed MOTOMAMI. Following the kickoff of the MOTOMAMI World Tour, viral clips from ROSALÍA shows exploded on TikTok, including her performance of the then-unreleased "Despechá." It's been locked in the Top 10 at Spotify since debuting at #7 globally and is now in Today's Top Hits.
Beyoncé, RENAISSANCE (Parkwood/Columbia): Tracks from Bey's new album are dominating the global stage: The Queen held nine of the Top 10 debuts at Spotify this weekend; RENAISSANCE is #1 at Apple Music in 85 countries and has been #1 at iTunes in 25; and lead single "BREAK MY SOUL" has reached a new peak of #1 at Apple Music worldwide. Meanwhile, fans are picking their new favorite cut from the album, with "ALIEN SUPERSTAR" and "CUFF IT" climbing DSPs.
Taylor Swift, "August" (Republic): The Swifties have apparently been counting down the days until 8/1 as Tay's folklore standout rocketed to the top of DSPs Monday. It's now #11 on Spot global and trending Top 50 at Apple Music worldwide.
Manuel Turizo, "La Bachata" (Sony Latin): Turizo's song in the titular Dominican genre is sweeping TikTok with a viral dance. The track is in the Top 10 at both Spotify and Apple Music in Spain, Peru, Bolivia, Costa Rica and Guatemala. Turizo reached a new peak of #19 global at Spotify on Monday.
