ATL ESQ

Veteran music attorney Donald Woodard, seen here with LVRN/Interscope star Summer Walker, has hitherto mostly managed to avoid appearing on this disreputable industry website, but it appears his lucky streak in that regard has come to an end. Woodard co-founded the Atlanta firm Carter + Woodard last year, specializing in entertainment, sports, new media and tech, and currently reps clients such as Walker, NLE Choppa, OutKast’s Big Boi, No I.D. and Jacquees. In addition to renegotiating Walker’s label and pub deals, he's shepherded hot new rap act 41 (Kyle Ricch, Jenn Carter and TaTa) through a deal with Republic, repped viral phenom Makenzie in a pact with Warner, overseen the purchase of Aaliyah’s pub catalog and ridden herd on TV deals for awards-show producers Central City Productions. With all that action, it was inevitable he would wander into our sorry spotlight.
