CREEPERS: SCHUR TO TERRIFY

Jordan Schur wants to scare you. The biz veteran’s Suretone Pictures is teaming up with Lionsgate to co-produce the horror flick Creepers, based on David Morrell’s bestselling book. Production is slated to begin on 7/25 with Marc Klasfeld helming; casting is now underway. The story involves a search for treasure complicated by some sort of supernatural presence.

Klasfeld, who’s directed videos for such superstars as Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Prince, Jay-Z, Eminem, Justin Bieber and many more—including the Wiz Khalifa-Charlie Puth clip “See You Again,” #5 among the most-viewed YouTube vids of all time—is making his feature debut with the project.

Said Schur, Chairman/CEO of Suretone Pictures, “I am pleased to partner on this special film with Lionsgate. After a decade in development, we have arrived at our destination with a powerful script adapted from a timeless book and a gifted director leading the charge. We could not ask for a better partner in Lionsgate who share our passion and excitement to bring this amazing roller-coaster of a story.”

Suretone and Lionsgate are also developing another project, Revenge Wedding. Schur produced the film The Kid (starring Ethan Hawke), and previously produced such features as Stone, starring Robert DeNiro, Henry’s Crime, starring Keanu Reeves and the late, great James Caan, and Pawn Shop Chronicles with Paul Walker and Matt Dillon.

He contends there is still nothing so blood-curdling as having to deal with us.
