A LITTLE WINE, A LITTLE JAZZ, A LITTLE MORE WINE...

The Napa Valley's inaugural Blue Note Jazz Festival, 7/29-31, just keeps getting bigger. Having already expanded to three days, it will now welcome Dave Chappelle for the first recording of his podcast, The Midnight Miracle, in front of a live audience, with guests yasiin bey (fka Mos Def) and Talib Kweli.

Chappelle will also host the 7/29 Artist Residency program, featuring the music collective Dinner Party (Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper and Kamasi Washington) with Snoop Dogg. Glasper is the festival’s artist-in-residence.

The wine-country outing is the first Blue Note Jazz Festival presented as an outdoor, multiday and multistage event. Transpiring at the Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena, it will present Kweli and bey’s Black Star, Maxwell, Chaka Khan, Thundercat, Flying Lotus, Kenny Garrett, Erykah Badu, Ledisi and BJ the Chicago Kid.

The festival will boast food from area restaurants and, of course, wine-tasting sessions.
