EMPIRE RECORDS

“You get a plaque! And you get a plaque! And you get a plaque!” shouts EMPIRE founder/CEO Ghazi as he and his team bestow gold and platinum artifacts on three artists at an intimate West Hollywood party during BET weekend. After this festive ceremony, everyone had fun reviewing the contents of John Eastman’s phone. Seen wondering how you fit one of these huge things in an Uber are (l-r) EMPIRE COO Nima Etminan, artist Fireboy DML (gold for single “Peru” f/Ed Sheeran), VP A&R Tina Davis, artist/entrepreneur Money Man (3x platinum for “24” f/Lil Baby), Ghazi and BLEU (fka Yung Bleu, gold for “Beautiful Lies” f/Kehlani).

Earlier in the day, EMPIRE celebrated the release of Money Man's Big Money with their annual BET Awards Brunch, alongside partners SiriusXM/Pandora, Red Bull, Backwoods, DTLR, Pathwater and Suave Tequila. Attendees included T.I., Too Short, Conway The Machine, D Smoke, Lamar Jackson and Eric Bellinger, among others.
