Columbia Nashville’s Luke Combs leads a Top 10 of new arrivals at iTunes albums this Flipover Friday, while the songs chart displays an array of superstar releases. It’s a bit surprising, though, who’s #1.
In addition to topping iTunes' albums list, Combs’ Growin’ Up (River House/ Columbia Nashville) is #10 at Apple Music; his latest single, “The Kind of Love We Make,” released a week ago, is #4 at iTunes songs and in the Top 25 at Apple Music songs.
The only other entry in the Top 10 on the sales and streaming charts is Chris Brown’s Breezy (CBE/RCA), #4 on both sides. GIVĒON’s Give or Take (Epic) was #6 at Apple Music and #12 at iTunes in the early morning hours.
Back at iTunes, Coheed and Cambria’s Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind (Roadrunner) wakes up at #2, followed by Jack Johnson’s Meet the Moonlight (Brushfire/Republic), camped out at #3. Porcupine Tree’s 11th studio album, CLOSURE/CONTINUATION (Music for Nations/Megaforce), is #5.
The 36-song soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann’s film ELVIS (RCA) swivels to #6, Caamp’s Lavender Days (By and By/Mom + Pop) blossoms at #7 and Regina Spektor’s Home, before and after (Sire) takes a seat at #8. NAYEON’s IM NAYEON (JYP) pops in at #9, and French Montana & Harry Fraud’s Montega (Coke Boys) snares #10.
The two big releases of the week—Taylor Swift’s “Carolina” (Republic) and Beyonce’s “Break My Soul” (Parkwood/Columbia)—sit at #2 and #3, respectively, while an Eminem & Snoop Dogg collab, “From the D 2 the LBC” (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope), drives in at #6. The top slot, though belongs to another pairing: Charlie Puth & Jungkook’s “Left and Right” (Atlantic). “Break My Soul,” released Monday, is the only song charting in the Top 10 at Apple Music, at #6.
