UPDATE: Stewart Copeland, Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor, Omar Hakim and Wolfgang Van Halen will perform with Foo Fighters at its Taylor Hawkins tributes.
Foo Fighters will stage two concerts in honor of their late drummer. The first will be held 9/3 at London's Wembley Stadium, the second 9/17 at Los Angeles' Kia Forum.
Miley Cyrus, Josh Homme, Joan Jett, Mark Ronson, Alanis Morissette, Gene Simmons and Nikki Sixx are among the acts booked for the L.A. show; Liam Gallagher and Chrissie Hynde are among those lined up for London.
Tickets go on sale 6/17.
Dave Grohl and the band will join Hawkins’ family to “celebrate the life, music and love of their husband, father, brother and bandmate." In their announcement, the Foos promised multiple all-star guests, further conveying, “Taylor's bandmates and his inspirations [will play] the songs that he fell in love with and the ones he brought to life.”
