In commemoration of Pride Month, The Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC) will host the second edition—and first in-person iteration of—Tuning Into Pride: A Music Industry Roundtable Discussion.
Scheduled for 6/1 at 3pm ET/2pm CT, the free workshop will be moderated by MLC Head of Third-Party Partnerships Dae Bogan.
Speakers include singer/songwriters Durand Bernarr and YawnyBlew, rapper Brandie Blaze, artist manager Dani Oliva, Young Music City/RNBW co-founders Emily and Jamie Dryburgh and mthree founder and principal R. Wayne Martin.
Bogan will also host Pride Music: A Music Business Workshop for LGBT Music Creators, which will transpire in Nashville 6/22 from 4-6pm CT.
“Last year's Pride Month webinar was a tremendous success, and Dae has done an outstanding job building on that success by expanding our Pride Month programming with a new workshop for LGBT creators,” said MLC CEO Kris Ahrend. “These kinds of initiatives are a key part of The MLC's fulfilling its mission.”
“I am excited to invite a diverse group of LGBT+ music creators and professionals to participate in this year’s Pride events and hope that creators and professionals of all walks of life also find value in hearing their stories,” said Bogan.
