IVORS HONOR DAVE

Dave was named Songwriter of the Year at the Ivor Novello Awards. Ed Sheeran, Sam Fender and Little Simz likewise took home coveted prizes from the Ivors Academy.

The win for Dave is his fourth. His album We’re All Alone in This Together topped the U.K. chart and scored three Top 10 singles.

During the ceremony at Grosvenor House in London, Naomi Kimpenu received the Rising Star Award, while Peter Gabriel, Shakira, Cocteau Twins and The Cure’s Robert Smith were also recognized for their contributions to music.

Longtime host Paul Gambaccini announced his retirement. Lauren Laverne will be replacing him next year.
