Through the "Your Future Is Now" scholarship, the Recording Academy's Black Music Collective (BMC) and Amazon Music will once again support select students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) who want to learn the ins and outs of the music biz. Now in its second year, the scholarship will provide four students with a variety of networking opportunities and $10,000 each. $10,000 grants will also be bestowed upon two HBCUs in need of musical equipment.
Applications, available now, must be submitted by 6/10 to be considered.
"Our commitment to show up for the next generation of Black talent and create pathways for them to succeed continues," said Rico Love, Vice Chair of the Recording Academy Board of Trustees and BMC Chair. "We're thrilled to bring back this program with Amazon Music that creates invaluable mentorship opportunities for students as they begin their careers in the music industry."
