Streamcut/RCA breakout Latto has had one of the year’s hottest singles with “Big Energy,” a bona fide streaming and radio monster. The cut, which appears on the 23-year-old Atlantan’s sophomore album, 777, is built on a canny Tom Tom Club sample and showcases Latto’s fierce delivery and raunchy wordplay. As for appearing on the cover of this low-energy rag, we’re sure she had a Latto reservations.
