CAPITOL GETS CREATIVE WITH SAHYOUN, STEINHARDT

Targa Sahyoun and Nick Steinhardt have been put in charge of the Capitol Records creative department. Sahyoun will oversee video and visual-content production; Steinhardt will handle art direction.

Both will have the title Senior Vice President of Creative, report to Capitol Music Group President Arjun Pulijal and be based at the Tower.

“Visual creative is essential to the beating heart of every project,” Pulijal said. “Nick and Targa are both artist-first creatives with experience and individual distinction that makes them uniquely poised to oversee the verticals that comprise a forward-thinking creative department. Together and in their respective areas of expertise, they will oversee a revitalized, cohesive creative team responsible for innovative ideation and execution on behalf of Capitol’s artists and projects.”

Sahyoun was most recently Senior Vice President of Video Production, having joined Capitol in 2014 as Senior Director of Video Production. Highlights during her tenure have included Mary J. Blige's My Life documentary and work related to Blige's The London Sessions, An Evening of Nostalgia With Annie Lennox, videos for Halsey’s first three albums and a raft of Katy Perry clips. Sahyoun was previously Director of Video Production at Columbia Records in Los Angeles. She joined the label in 2008.

Steinhardt most recently ran his own design firm, 23in, and worked at SMOG Design. He's been involved in the art direction and design of Paul McCartney’s McCartney III and III Imagined, numerous projects for Tom Petty and a raft of Katy Perry projects.
