ZACH BRYAN'S "ORANGE" GLOW-UP

Anticipation is building for singer/songwriter Zach Bryan, who continues to put up very attractive streaming numbers ahead of his Warner debut, American Heartbreak, which drops on 5/20. His latest track, “Something in the Orange,” follows “From Austin” as one of the top debuts on DSPs its opening week.

Bryan released two versions of “Orange” on Friday. Both are currently in the Top 50 at Apple Music and climbing. The original cut, produced by Ryan Hadlock (Vance Joy), is #32, while the “Z&E” version, a stripped-down take recorded with longtime producer Eddie Spear at New York's famed Electric Lady Studios, is #43.

Warner CEO/Co-Chairman Aaron Bay-Schuck inked Bryan, who became a YouTube sensation while serving in the Navy, in 2020. After working 12-hour shifts loading bombs and missiles onto airplanes, the young troubadour would upload raw, acoustic clips of his rootsy originals onto YouTube.

His first taste of virality came with the video for “Heading South” as Bryan’s developing fanbase grew to expect more raw performances of his passionate folk songs. Two major syncs on Paramount+’s blockbuster series Yellowstone further signaled the Americana community that Bryan is the real deal.

Back in February, “From Austin” debuted big on both Spotify and Apple Music—it was the #3 debut in the U.S. on the Spot and hit #1 on Apple Music’s country chart.

Meanwhile, Bryan has generated a healthy live following, lining up dates at venues with capacities of 4-5k and earning a big look at Stagecoach this weekend.

Did we mention that his upcoming full-length will have 34 tracks? Stay tuned as we continue to report on the hottest-streaming singer/songwriter since Morgan Wallen. Check out both versions of "Something in the Orange" below.
