Arcade Fire fans are in for a treat as the band has joined the Coachella lineup at the very last minute.
Frontman Win Butler teased the news on Instagram this morning, posting, “Decided to spend my birthday somewhere warm and dry.”
Slated to perform on Friday (4/15) from 6:45-7:45pm in the Mojave tent, Arcade Fire—who previously headlined in 2014—joins a stacked lineup and will play between Carley Rae Jepson and Idles.
The surprise set comes less than a month before Arcade Fire’s new album, WE, is set to drop, on 5/6 via Columbia.
Expect to hear their latest single, “The Lightning I, II,” among other fan favorites, during the desert sunset.
To celebrate Butler’s birthday, we’ll be shoveling cake during his show. Peep full set times below.
