BHASKIN' IN THE MUSIC

Hitmakers extraordinaire Jeff Bhasker (below) and Mike Dean (right) are still on a high after playing live for the first time in a long time at their pre-Grammy party Friday night. (Bhasker and Dean go way back. Among other recent feats, they co-wrote and co-produced Ye's "Come to Life," from Donda—on which Dean was a primary producer.)

The shindig took place at L.A.'s Offsunset. Diddy, Diplo, Travis Scott, APG head Mike Caren, Columbia Records chief Ron Perry, Hallwood Media founder Neil Jacobson, Ludacris, Metro Boomin and producers Rostam, Anthony Rossomondo and Anthony Kilhoffer were all spotted in attendance.

Bhasker and Dean's 30-minute set was filled with synth freestyling and gems from their discographies, including fun.'s “We Are Young," Bhasker’s demo version of Beyoncé's “Party” and Ye's “Runaway."

"The show was a full aural assault on the crowd," said Dean. "Great night, epic music, epic guests." We at HITS expect to experience a different sort of aural assault when Dean sees himself quoted here.

"What an incredible vibe in the room," added Bhasker, who, we hear, was smiling the whole time—until he heard someone was sending pictures to this rag. "Such a rush to be onstage again after two years and with my brother, the incomparable Mike Dean.”
